Kyrgyzstan joins AIIB as a founding member

KyrgyzstanKyrgyzstan have been approved as prospective founding member of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), the Kyrgyz Government’s information policy department reports, quoted by Kyrgyz National News Agency.
On April Kyrgyzstan received a message from the Chinese side on approval Kyrgyzstan’s intention to join the AIIB as the founding member.
Founding members have the right to make rules for the bank. Countries that applied to join after March 31 will be ordinary members with voting rights only, and less say in the rule-making process.
The AIIB will finance for roads, railways, airports and other infrastructure in Asia.
