Kyiv tram-train feasibility study to be completed in May

The Deputy Chairman of Kyiv State Administration Ilia Sahaidak announced that in May the city expects to obtain the feasibility study on Tram-Train project.
The tram-train line will include two routes the Miloslavskaya– North and Darnitsa– Ring road, both via the Darnytskyi railway bridge. The total length of the line is estimated at 37.2 km, of which 14.7 km should be built as a light rail infrastructure, and the rest of the length, as a railway infrastructure.
According to previously estimations, the project’s cost is EUR 180 million, linking Kiev Troyeshchyna residential area to Kiev city state administration.
The tram-train system will carry more than 240 thousand passengers a day.
