KTZ implements a new management model for its activities

Kazakhstan Railways started the implementation of a new model of maintenance and repair (M&R) management, as part of company’s business transformation programme.
The main objective of the project is to improve the efficiency of management of maintenance and repair of rolling stock and railway infrastructure, which will increase the level of productivity.
“The introduction of this model is a significant step for the management of productive assets throughout their life cycle, from the moment of creation or acquisition, to the decommissioning phase,” Batyr Kotyrev, the Chief Engineer of KTZ said.
The implementation of the project will make it possible to move from the planned operation to economically feasible, will reduce the cost of maintenance and production.
Currently, the results have been approved to optimize production assets that are not used in the core business, a comparative analysis of the existing and target M&R processes of the backbone network, as well as documents regulating the management of services of service organizations.
