Measures to establish a national rail operator in Kazakhstan on the basis of JSC Locomotive are underway. The project is part of the state program for development and integration of transport system infrastructure of Kazakhstan till 2020, approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
KTZ Board decided to rename JSC Locomotive as JSC KTZ-Freight Transportat and in order to make necessary decisions to shape the corporate structure and to transfer of functions from NC KTZ to KTZ-Freight Transport the composition of the Board of Directors of KTZ-Freight Transportation in 5 persons was determined for a period of one year.
Kanat Kalievich Alpysbayev was named as the Chairman of KTZ-Freight Transport.
