Irland: six schemes examined for North Dublin transport

irlanda_dublinSix major transport schemes have been unveiled as possible solutions to cater for population growth in North Dublin. The potential solutions include the Metro North project, a partially-tunnelled Luas line, two extensions of the DART network and dedicated bus rapid transit lines. The decision on the winning project will be reached in 2015. Consultants will evaluate the merits of each, and provide detailed costing assessments before a decision is made.
