In a meeting with visiting Czech Foreign Minister Lubomír Zaorálek, the mayor of the central city of Isfahan called for Czech Republic’s partnership to launch Isfahan light rail system.
Isfahan’s Mayor Mehdi Jamalinejad said that Isfahan municipality has made negotiations with a Czech company on launching light rail lines, mehrnews.com informs.
He said that lifting of Western sanctions on Iran will pave the way for promotion of relations between Iran and Czech Republic.
Comparing Isfahan and Prague from a tourism viewpoint, Jamalinejad said that Isfahan and Prague can be declared sister cities.
The Czech foreign minister arrived in Isfahan at the head of a political delegation to discuss bilateral issues with Iranian officials.
