This is part of the second stage of the line, a 11 km-stretch between Miyapur and SR Nagar, which is to be commissioned in August 2015, according to the plans of Hyderabad Metro Rail. A total of 14 trains will run on the line during the tests. Following the test runs, the trains will be subjected to real time trail runs before applying for the safety certification.
The first stage of the line, consisting in a 8.4 km section between Nagole and Mettuguda, is technically ready for operation. However, the state government is considering a later date for the inauguration of the metro rail service, beyond Hyderabad Metro Rail’s August schedule.
