Grand Paris Express inaugurated

grand parisSociété du Grand Paris has officialy opened Paris’ new orbital rail network at the future Fort Issy-Vanves-Clamart station.
The station is situated on Line 15 at Issy-les-Moulineaux, Vanves, Clamart and Malakoff jonction. The 15 Line is a 75 km underground line which will encircle the Paris’ center and it is implemented in three stages.
The Grand Paris Express project includes the construction of 4 new metro lines and the extensions of the existing lines 11 and 14.
The consortium composed of Bouygues Travaux Publics assisted by three subsidiaries from the Soletanche Bachy group, was chosen in March 2016 to conduct civil engineering projects on the future station of Fort d’Issy – Vanves – Clamart, designed by the architect Philippe Gazeau.
It is the first civil engineering contract among the eight required to build the 33 km of tunnel, 16 stations and 38 ancillary works on line 15 South. By 2022, the expected project completion date, the line will connect the stations of Noisy-Champs to Pont-de-Sèvres in just thirty-five minutes thanks to an automated network.
