CCE Elektrik, Turkey, has awarded German company Powerlines Products a new contract for the delivery of overhead catenary components for light rail projects in Izmir and Izmit.
Powerlines Products will provide a complete range of components for the catenary system of the 23 km LRT extension and a depot expansion in Izmir.
Under the contract with CCE Elektrik, the company will deliver a full range of materials required for a high chain catenary system along the new 13 km line in Izmit. The contract includes the overhead catenary, 500 GRP cantilevers, clamps, switches, motorised switch controls and retensioning devices. Additionally, components for a depot expansion, carried out with a single overhead line, will be delivered to the Turkish city.
