Georgian Railways, ready to implement digital technologies

geGeorgian Railways and the University on business and technologies signed a cooperation agreement on sphere of digital technologies.
Within the agreement, the University will be actively involved in transfer process of Georgian Railway to digital technologies. The “Silicone Veli Tbilisi” University will retrain the employees of the Georgian Railways and will take part in the processes of the introduction of a different international digital management system in the Georgian railway system.
According to the statement of the general director of the Georgian Railways, Mamuka Bakhtadze, the mutual collaboration of business and education is absolutely a new approach that will promote preparation and employment of qualified personnel in the sphere of technologies.
“I am confident that in the region, Georgia can become the leader in delivery of technologies and education. Our memorandum implies a cooperation of business and university. The university will prepare the special program and here, in the near future, retraining will be undergone by both engineering personnel, and the employees working on their operational managerial positions as well,” Mamuka Bakhtadze said.
