Georgia-Azerbaijan new container train launched

ADY Express LLC, a Azerbaijan Railways subsidiary, announced that a new container block train has started operating Poti/Batumi (Georgia) – Kishly station (Azerbaijan) route.
The train is sent three times a week and covers 900 km of the track in 30 hours, according to the company.
The all-inclusive tariff for the transport of a 20-foot container is USD 800, and a 40-foot container is USD 1,000.
ADY Express is operating four transport corridors. One involves Viking Train, on Lithuania – Belarus – Ukraine and Georgia – Azerbaijan / Central Asia – China / Iran – India route; Nomad Express, a East-West corridor on China – Kazakhstan – Caspian Sea – Azerbaijan – Georgia – Turkey and / or the Black Sea – Europe route; North-South corridor that allows transport services on from India and the Gulf countries, into Russia, Western Europe, the Baltic and Scandinavian countries; and South-West corridor that offer transport services between EU countries and India.
The main objective of the company is to increase the transit transport between Europe and Asia through the territory of Azerbaijan, at the same time providing customers with convenient and cost-effective price.
