Estonian state-owned rail freight company EVR Cargo’s transport volume grew by 14.7% in November compared to last year, to 1.46 million tonnes. However, for the first eleven months, the total volume of freight amounted to just 14.2 million tonnes, 1.1% below last year’s cargo volume. In November, transit freight volume was 33% higher than in the same month of 2013, reaching 1.06 million tonnes and accounting for nearly 73% of the total volume transported by EVR Cargo. Container cargo transport grew by 2.4% year-on-year to 5,574 TEU in November.
