the Italian company in the market of Rolling Stock since the 90’s, is more and more focused in multimedia products and systems. This advertorial shows a few devices designed and produced by the company, with the aim to put in the best features you can imagine for each of them.

– The TrainPAD® and relevant Multimedia SERVER for storage of the multimedia contents, is a system conceived for entertainment, specifically designed to be installed on board of trains;
CAMellia, a family of Video Cameras specifically designed and customized for all the different applications, from high quality Video-surveillance to track view, from rear view do door view and other;

TrainPAD Entertainment System

The TrainPAD® is a system conceived for entertainment specifically designed to be installed on board of trains.
The TrainPAD® system, from the hardware point of view, is composed by four main elements:
1) Distributed individual device called ‘TrainPAD®’;
2) Centralized Server, called ‘Multimedia Server’;
3) Centralized management console ‘TrainPAD® Console’;
4) Connection network based on high speed, multi-gigabit Ethernet Switches with ‘Power over Ethernet’ support for the cabled network, or on gigabit Wi-Fi ‘MiMo’ Access Points (optional).


The TrainPAD® device is based on the Android Operating System and has the same principle of functioning of the tablet that each one of us has in our own pocket. Thanks to this, it is a ‘smart’ and ‘friendly’ Human interface as a mobile device.

The Applications (APPs) are executed directly by the TrainPAD® devices and are supported by a centralized ‘Multimedia Server’.
The Multimedia Server includes the storage for the Multimedia contents, the connections to external systems (like ‘PIS’, ‘PA’ and other systems you can find on board) and interacts with the TrainPAD® Console in use by the crew.

The TrainPAD® Console is a centralized management console through which the train crew can send: live audio, pre-recorded audio, live text, pre-recorded text, images or videos to a selected TrainPAD®’s seats and can configure or change the configuration of the travel; check the registration into the Entertainment system of the travelers and other management activities.
Additional TrainPAD® Console can optionally be installed for instance in the car restaurant for the management of the restaurant’s services.
The Multimedia Server can be optionally equipped with 3G/4G router Mobile and Wi-Fi Access Point.

The “Multimedia RECORDER” family

is based on rugged, State of the art, Solid State Disk Storage (SSDS) technology.

The modular construction and the wide availability of SSDS capacities and technologies, allow to tailor-made the product at exactly the application requirements.

Solid State Disk Storage (‘SSDS’)
– Depending on the product model, one, two or four ‘Bays’ supporting one, two or four ‘Solid State Disk Cartridge’ (‘SSDC’).are installed
– Each ‘SSDC’ can be independently removed and replaced.
– A ‘SSDC’ supports up to five ‘Solid State Disk Unit’ (‘SSDU’) having a 2.5” form factor.
– A ‘SSDU’ can have a storage capacity of 1 Terabyte or 2 Terabyte. Accounting all possible combinations, the Storage capacity of the “Multimedia RECORDER” family spans from 1 Terabyte to 40 Terabytes with different intermediate sizes.
