China: over 300 passenger stations to receive internet access

02_chinaRuckus Wireless has formed a partnership with Smartac Group Holdings to build Wi-Fi networks using Ruckus Wireless equipment in more than 300 passenger stations for three major railroad systems in China: Beijing, Guangzhou, and Lanzhou.
The Wi-Fi networks will provide wireless Internet access to railway passengers. At the same time, the stations will deliver real-time passenger data to railway station operators.
Smartac has already completed deployment of Ruckus Smart WiFi networks at one Beijing Railway Bureau station, 100 Guangzhou Railway (Group) Corporation stations, and at 4 Lanzhou Railway Bureau stations. Future deployments at 70 additional Guangzhou Railway (Group) Corporation stations are planned next, in addition to more Lanzhou, and Beijing Railway Bureau passenger stations.
