China invested USD 43 billion in railway construction

chinaChina Railway Corporation has invested CNY 265.1 billion (USD 43.3 billion) in domestic railway construction in the first half of the year, a 12.7 percent increase from one year earlier Xinhua reports.
In the first six months, an additional 2,226 km of new railway lines were put into service. At the start of 2015, the country set targets of investing more than CNY 800 billion (USD 130.5 billion) in railway construction for this year and creating 8,000 km of new lines on track.
