Central PKK selects train supplier

Russian commuter operator Central Suburban Passenger Company (Central PKK) awarded Tver Carriage Works (TVZ) the contract to supply 23 modern electric trains which will be put into service on Moscow Central Diameter, on future Lobnya – Odintsova line.
TZV will deliver the EG2TV trains in the third quarter of 2018.
The tender for the new trains was launched in December 2017 and envisaged the acquisition of new modern trains, able to run at speeds of 120 km/h.
Moscow Central diameters (WDC) will offer connections to different Russian rail routes, linking the capital with other cities around Moscow. In 2019, the authorities plan to launch the Lobnya – Odintsova line which runs through Dolgoprudny, Savelovsky and Belorussky stations.
Central PKK is implementing projects to develop its services. The company is modernising the railway infrastructure, has installed new payment systems and, on the rolling stock acquisition, the company has already purchased 86 new trains. The Ivolga electric train was put into operation in the spring of 2017.
