Bulgaria is looking for investments for intermodal terminal in Varna

Bulgaria_zx500y290_1052791“We have focused our efforts and we are looking for opportunities to secure investments needed for the design and construction of an intermodal terminal in Varna,” Bulgarian interim Minister of Transport, Information Technologies and Communication, Nikolina Angelkova, said.
“The following projects are being realised at the moment: modernisation of the Septemvri-Plovdiv railway section, part of the trans-European railway network, rehabilitation of the railway infrastructure along the Plovdiv-Burgas route, construction of intermodal terminal in the region of the city of Plovdiv,” the minister added.
Ms Angelkova said that that the Sofia-Plovdiv-Burgas route is part of Corridor “Orient/East Mediterranean”. She also determined the Sofia-Radomir-Gyueshevo route highly important cross-border connection.
