Brookfield Rail launches regular maintenance

Brookfield RailBrookfield Rail has announced it will undertake all regular track maintenance activities for the State’s 5,500 km multi-user freight rail network extending throughout regional Western Australia.
Brookfield Rail has been the manager and operator of Western Australia’s sole open access freight rail network since its privatisation in 2000, providing reliable connections to the eastern states and overseas export markets.
Starting with 15 August the company will add track and civil maintenance activities to the signalling and communications systems maintenance capabilities already internally managed by Brookfield Rail.
Brookfield Rail will continue to use external contractors for major project and specialised maintenance work all on the 5,500 kms of rail assets throughout Western Australia.
