Bavaria will co-finance the project of the Prague-Munich railway connection

bavariaBavaria will co-finance the project of modernizing the railway connection between Prague and Munich via Plzeň, Domažlice and Furth im Wald. The Bavarian National Assembly has already allocated 6 million euros for the preparation works, according to the announcement made by Bavarian Minister of the Interior, Building and Transport, Joachim Herrmann. The German and Czech authorities will apply for European funds for this joint project. The Prague-Munich line is currently a single track, non-electrified connection. The project will cut the journey time to four hours and 30 minutes from nearly six hours at present.
