Bangladesh Govt plans to build four subways

Dhaka-metro_DhakaMetroMapThe government has planned to build four subways (underground railways) across the capital city of Dhaka aiming to ease traffic congestion.
The Bangladesh Bridge Authority (BBA), a wing of Road Transport and Bridges Ministry, has placed a proposal in this regard.
As per the proposal, subway-1 proposed for 32-kilomtre length will be connected between Sayedabad and Tongi via Airport-Banani-Mohakhali-Moghbazar-Paltan and Motijheel with a cost of USD 5.25 billion.The 16-kilometer length second subway will be connected between Aminbazar and Sayedabad. The route will go with Gabtoli-Shyamoli-Asadgate-New Market-TSC and Motijheel with a cost of USD 2.87 billion.
The third and fourth routes are in very primary stage which will be connected between Gabtoli and Sadarghat; Rampura and Sadarghat respectively.
