Banedanmark uses Noise Monitoring Terminals for HSR project

Banedanmerk_indexBanedanmark began new tunnel construction and the company will monitor its noise levels closely to reduce the impact on local residents, using Noise Monitoring Terminals (NMT). Six noise monitoring terminals will be set up in key locations in the suburbs of Valby and Hvidovre, the two most populated areas along the new railway line – and the two areas most likely to suffer from noise pollution. This service is provided by Bruel & Kjaer.  The new line Copenhagen – Ringsted Construction Manager, Jette Aagaard said: “The noise emanating from the construction site needs to be monitored continuously. We cannot remove the noise pollution completely, but we can certainly provide information, explain and do our utmost to keep it within the set limitations.”
