07-bamProRail has awarded the contract for the renovation of the Driebergen-Zeist station area (which is located east of Utrecht) to BAM. BAM will start construction activities in the spring of 2017. The contract value is approximately EUR 90 million.
ProRail is completely renewing the current rail station Driebergen-Zeist on behalf of the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment, the Province of Utrecht and the municipalities of Utrechtse Heuvelrug and Zeist. The projects includes a new rail station, as well as a redesign of the station area.
The contract includes the construction of an underpass under the tracks and adjusting the local road network.
