Azerbaijan launched works on 600-km line

adyAzerbaijani Railways launched works on the modernization of a 600-km line in the direction of Baku-Boyuk Kesik. He said that the work is being conducted by the newly established specialized rail department No 5 under the Azerbaijani Railways, Nadir Azmammadov, spokesman for the Azerbaijan Railways, told Trend.
The overhaul began at a railway section of the Bilajari station. An agreement was signed with the Czech contractor of the Azerbaijan Railways – Moravia Steel company to implement the second phase of the Azerbaijani railway reconstruction project on April 14, 2015.
The agreement is a supplement to the export contract on logistics and overhaul of a 600-kilometer Baku-Boyuk Kesik railway section.
The company repaired a 317 kilometer Baku-Boyuk Kesik railway section in December 2013.
