The installation of railway tracks at the Swiss Gotthard base tunnel and the current construction activities at the new Vienna Central Station project are definitely currently the largest railway construction projects of international renown.
In Romania ALPINE has been active since 1998. ALPINE S.A. decided in 2006 to invest in a new headquarter which is situated near the Bucharest‘s ring road in Mogosoaia. The new site assures the ne-cessary logistics as well as high standard working conditions for the employees. During 14 years of intense activity, Alpine succeeded in contracting and executing a lot of projects in 17 counties in Romania, thanks to the synergetic effort of the management and the growing team of employees. By the intends of Alpine to develop it‘s activity in all regions of Romania, we opened two offices in Targu Mures and in Timisoara, as secondary branches. ALPINE Romania stands for its highly skilled and motivated team, commitment to delivering projects as promised, advanced technologies and quality controls, support for local community service projects, and strong support from the parent company in Austria.
ALPINE S.A. executes main infrastructure projects in Romania and recently won two mayor railway rehabilitation projects within a consortium. These railway projects located in the center of Romania from the Stations Sighisoara to Atel and Atel to Micasasa are part of the Pan-European Railway Corridor IV which runs via Berlin – Prague – Vienna – Budapest – Bucharest up to Constanta on the Black Sea resp. Istanbul. In the rehabilitation of these 55 kilometers of railway track in the value of 380 Mio Euro, ALPINE with its partners will show again its high level of experience in railway construction projects.
