Representatives of Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania agreed on the further procurement model and responsibilities in implementing the Rail Baltica project. The representatives discussed centralized RB Rail procurements and national procurements supervised by RB Rail, the joint venture established by the Baltic states for managing the Rail Baltica project.
The Baltic states decided to divide all procurements in three groups – procurements organized by the joint venture only, consolidated procurements implemented by the joint venture, and procurements implemented by national companies under supervision of the joint venture.
The parties also agreed that RB Rail will be the central manager of public procurements in areas related with the joint project standards, marketing and business research, etc.
The supervisory council agreed to sign an agreement on the Model for Rail Baltica project financing and implementation model project by 30 September.
