Rio de Janeiro’s commuter rail operator SuperVia has commissioned its 50th new Chinese-built train. Two more CNR 3000 Series trains entered passenger service in December, taking the number of new four-car units which have entered service this year to 24. Half of the 100 trains being built by the Chinese manufacturer for SuperVia are now in operation. The final 3000 Series train will be commissioned in 2016.
