Systra buys SAI (India)

systraSystra, the engineering subsidiary of SNCF and RATP, has bought SAI engineering company based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat (India). SAI has over 600 employees and a turnover of EUR 11 Million in 2011, of which one third in the international market.
The procurement is in the company’s development plan by 2018 and will ensure Systra’s presence in the Indian market, where it already has a subsidiary. The transaction will enable Systra to become an important actor in India, where the government see public transport a key growth factor. Moreover, the French company will thus have a strong production hub, oriented to the customers in Asia.
