For 2017, United Transport and Logistics Company (UTLC) intends to increase its transit traffic volume by 40% compared to figure registered in 2016. The company’s development strategy provides the progressive growth of the volume to the level of 1 million TEUs by 2025.
The volume of transit traffic from Asia to Europe through Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus transported by UTLC in 2016 exceeded 100 thousand TEU, more than 2 times than in 2015 (47.4 thousand TEU).
UTLC’s key factor of success is to follow the agreed new business model providing parity of shareholders in the share capital, administration, control and enterprise development. “This approach to the management of production activity allowed to generate an atmosphere of trust and partnership, not in words but in deeds, which ultimately contributed to such significant results,” vice-president of UTLC Erzhan Zhakishev said.
