Trainose deadline to be postponed

trainoseThe tenders for the privatization of Greece’s rail operator Trainose and carriage maintenance company Rosco are set for a delay, with well-informed sources saying that speaking bid deadlines would likely be postponed by one to three months, Kathimerini informs.
The Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF) is eager to ensure the successful completion of the two tenders even though the revenues they will fetch are not significant; instead, it is the political and fiscal parameters that are at stake, due to the huge state subsidies Trainose is supposed to return.
At the end of January, HRADF announced the invitation for interested parties to submit binding offers for the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of Trainose.
In November HRADF launched the invitation for submission of proposals to act as independent valuer to the HRADF for the privatisation of Trainose and Rosco.
