Eight more train plus air connections in France have become available

Eight more rail plus air connections in France have become available, in addition to the 33 destinations where the service could already be used.

rail plus air connections in France short flights in FranceTo date, the “train + air” service is offered on 33 destinations to and from Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly airports (via Massy TGV station). Launched three decades ago, the service is now supplemented by eight additional routes.

This will make it possible to combine train and air travel from or to: Aix-en-Provence, Arras, Laval and Lille Flandres (to Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly airports) in a single booking. The same for Perpignan, but in this case only to Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport. Until now, Aix-en-Provence was only connected to Paris-Charles de Gaulle.

From 22 stations, train plus plane connections are possible in France

This extension of the network brings to 41 the number of high-speed TGV Inoui connections offered by Ar France as part of the “train + air” service, available from 22 stations: Aix-en-Provence TGV, Angers Saint-Laud, Arras, Avignon TGV, Bordeaux Saint-Jean, Champagne-Ardenne TGV, Le Mans, Laval, Lille Europe, Lille Flandres, Lorraine TGV, Lyon Part-Dieu, Marseille Saint-Charles, Montpellier Saint-Roch, Nantes, Nîmes, Perpignan, Poitiers, Rennes, Saint-Pierre-des-Corps, Strasbourg and Valence TGV.

With the “train + air” service, passengers only need to make one reservation for the entire journey and are guaranteed a seat on the next available flight or train, without additional payment, in the event of a train or plane delay. Since last year, travel has been fully digitised – customers can register online at www.airfrance.fr before departure for the whole journey, including by train.

On international routes, Air France and KLM offer a combined ticket service for connections departing from Brussels-Midi (to Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam Schiphol) and Antwerp-Central (to Amsterdam Schiphol only) stations.
