Tender deadline postponed for TrainOSE

06-greeceGreece’s Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF) postponed by three weeks the second stage of a tender for the sale of TrainOSE with downgraded terms, RIA Novosti reports.
31 May was the scheduled date of the second call for bids for TrainOSE, in which competing firms were due to make binding offers. The second stage of the tender will now be held on 22 June.
TrainOSE’s debts, which totaled nearly 850 million euros as of 1 October 2015, would not be cancelled despite a special bill passed by the Greek parliament.
The operator’s investor is likely to take on the debt, which is expected to have risen in the past six months.
