Systra wins a new contract for Line 15 West of Grand Paris Express

grand_paris_plan-2-3de35Systra, in a consortium with five architect firms led by Setec TPI, has won a contract to manage the infrastructure project for the Grand Paris Express Line 15 West. Line 15 West is approximately 20 km long and includes 9 stations. It will link Pont de Sèvres à Saint-Denis Pleyel in 24 minutes, compared to the present journey time of 54 minutes. 7 of the 9 stations along the section will interconnect with lines of the SNCF and/or RATP.
The delivery is planned in two phases. Service will start on the southern section up to and including Nanterre la Folie in 2025, and on the northern section in 2027. When service starts, it will connect with the suburban railway network, metro lines and tram lines. At St Denis Pleyel, it will connect with Lines 14, 16 & 17 of the Grand Paris Express. This line will also improve access to major venues, particularly at La Défense and Nanterre, as well as those close to the Saint-Denis Pleyel station.
This is the fourth contract signed by Systra for the Grand Paris Express Red Line, since the end of preliminary studies.
The other three Grand Paris Express Red Line contracts signed include a contract to assist the Contracting Authority for Systems, and to manage the rolling stock/automated operation project for the entire construction of the Red Line, a contract to manage the infrastructure project for section 2 of Line 15 from Noisy-Champs to Villejuif Louis Aragon, and the third is a project management contract for the construction of the Infrastructure Maintenance Site at Vitry.
