Romania: CFR Calatori’s rectified budget for 2017 estimates EUR 20 million losses

The draft regulatory document stipulates the approval of the rectified budget with total incomes of RON 2.15 billion (EUR 470 million), as well as total expenditures of RON 2.24 billion (EUR 490 million).

“Expected changes concern the amendment of state budget contributions allocated as subsidies”, shows the substantiation. According to the rectified budget for 2017, the allocated subsidies will amount to RON 1.09 billion (EUR 238 million).

Staff costs amount to RON 791 million (EUR 172 million). Of this amount, the salary fund is of RON 593 million (EUR 129 million).

Also, in the Investment Costs chapter, CFR Calatori receives budget allocations to pay for its commitments from the previous years that are worth RON 75.4 million (EUR 16.4 million).

The draft 2017 rectified budget stipulates a loss of RON 90.5 million (EUR 20 Million). The 2017 rectified budget includes residual payments worth RON 119 million (EUR 26 million) and arrears worth RON 60 million (EUR 13 million).

The Romanian Ministry of Transport submitted to the approval of the Romanian Government the draft regulatory document on the approval of CFR Calatori’s 2017 rectified income and expenditure budget. The draft regulatory document was published on 6 November of the ministry’s web page. Proposals and observations could be submitted by 17 November.
