Rail Baltica technical design tenders announced

RB Rail As has announced the tender for the design and design supervision services for the construction of the new line from Pärnu to Rapla, on Estonian territory and another line from Kaunas to Ramygala, in Lithuania. Proposal submission deadline for both tenders is January 29, 2018.
Each competition consists of two stages. The first one involves the selection of candidates who will be invited to submit a proposal in the second stage of the Competition and under the second phase, the proposals submitted by candidates will be evaluated. They will be invited to submit a proposal and award of rights to conclude a contract.
The objective of these tenders is to provide building design and design supervision services for the construction of railway track substructure, superstructure as well as related civil structures on the new standard gauge high speed double track electrified railway Rail Baltica line sections in Estonia and Lithuania.
“We certainly can admit that we have entered the design phase of the Rail Baltica project in three Baltic states. These two competitions are only a few of many upcoming railway design tenders to be carried out until 2022,” Jean-Mark Bedmar, Senior Engineer of RB Rail As said.
Last year, RB Rail AS announced the preparation design guidelines and Eiropas Dzelzceļa līnijas announced the tender for the design of the passenger stations in Latvia. At the end of 2017, it was issued the first detailed technical design tenders.
