Qognify (formerly NICE Security) has announced that the Navi Mumbai Metro has selected its mass transit solution to ensure the safety and security of passengers and assets. At the core of the solution is Qognify Situator, an advanced Situation Management and PSIM platform which integrates all components for the solution as well as Qognify’s Video Management System and Video Analytics.
The Navi Mumbai Metro is now under construction and slated to open for operation in 2017 in the Indian city of Navi Mumbai. The first phase of the project provides coverage for the ten new stations opening along the line, with Phase II planned to include connectivity to the Navi Mumbai Airport. With 24/7 monitoring of the Metro’s station and depot areas, the solution will enhance passenger safety and security, in addition to enabling streamlined operations and ensuring regulatory compliance.
With its automation engine, Situator delivers pre-defined, adaptive workflows that facilitate effective and consistent responses. It also facilitates collaboration among stakeholder agencies including Metro operators and police via system access to a common operating picture.
