Iran plans to attract foreign investment for Tabriz – Bazargan – Kars rail project, Tohid Akhlaghi, head of East Azerbaijan Province Department of Roads and Urban Development said Trend news agency informs.
The feasibility study on the project which will link Iran’s Tabriz city to Turkey’s Kars was done the last fiscal year (ended March 20), Akhlaghi said, Fars news agency informed.
Building a railway line from Tabriz to Kars with a length of 250 km will connect the Iranian Railway System to northeast of Turkey as well as connecting Iran to the Middle Asia Railway
Network.
Private investors are invited to invest in this field.
