EU Rail Policy Conference 2012

Unravelling the new railway package

 

The European Commission is preparing the ground for a further Railway Package, scheduled for autumn 2012. The new package is expected to take up a number of highly important issues supporting the necessary expansion of the European rail network, including new measures in the key areas of unbundling, passenger market competition and regulation.

 

In reaction to these developments a second edition of the successful conference“Effectiveness of EU Rail policy”in 2010 in Brussels is called for. Following the Commission’s time line, Europoint will organise the international EU Rail Policy Conference 2012 on 28 November 2012 in Brussels, in cooperation with the Institute for Transport Studies at the University of Leeds (UK).
