DHL and KTZ signed a new agreement

Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, KTZ, and DHL Global Forwarding signed an agreement on the development of transport and logistics services. The document was signed during the official visit of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in Unites States.
“Developed transport and logistics infrastructure of Kazakhstan, attraction of leading companies for the organization of an optimal supply network to all regions of the continent will contribute to the growth of multimodal transpor along transcontinental routes,” Kanat Alpysbaev, the president of KTZ said.
The agreement provides for the creation of a center for the consolidation and distribution of John Deere products on the Eurasian market in the territory of the FEZ “Khorgos-Eastern Gate”.
Since July 2017, a transit multimodal logistics service was established for the oversized equipment of John Deere through the Dry Port of the FEZ “Khorgos – Eastern Gate” on the route of China (Jiamisu) through Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.
At the end of 2015, DHL and KTZ Express signed a MoU for the creation of the rail corridor that facilitate the rail connectivity between Europe and China via Kazakhstan’s commercial hubs, including the Khorgos Special Economic Zone.
