DB Schenker opens logistics company in Myanmar

DB Schenker-Myanmar_alpha_rotexThe logistics division of Deutsche Bahn has set up a fully owned subsidiary in Myanmar to work with customers in the telecommunications and consumer goods industries.
“Myanmar has seen a significant increase in investments and activities in infrastructure, manufacturing and distribution, since the lifting of sanctions in 2012,” said Nay Htoo Aung, general manager of Schenker Myanmar Company.
The company will employ around 80 staff in Yangon, and train them with warehouse and supply chain management skills, he said. DB Schenker also has 100 percent-owned businesses in Cambodia and Laos.
