DB Cargo to implement Remote Online Condition Monitoring systems

08-nomad-db-cargoNomad Digital has started a five-year co-operation with DB Cargo providing on-board Remote Online Condition Monitoring (ROCM) systems. After the successful completion of a one-year trial with equipment tested, DB Cargo is currently completing installation of the ROCM systems across a locomotive fleet.
Nomad’s ROCM systems will be installed across a DB Cargo fleet of 90 locomotives operating internationally, with completion targeted for the end of 2016. The ROCM provides access to real-time condition and diagnostic-based information across key operational systems to DB Cargo.
As part of the agreement, Nomad will deliver both necessary customisation as well as developing future requirements for DB Cargo in a collaborative approach.  The technology to deliver the ROCM tool is provided by Nomad Tech, the joint venture between Nomad Digital and Portuguese rolling stock maintenance company EMEF.
