USD 58 million for Louisiana’s railway improvement

upUnion Pacific will invest USD 58 million to improve Louisiana’s railway infrastructure. USD 52 million will be invested for the track maintenance, and USD 6 million, to maintain the bridges.
Key projects include USD 13 million investment for the  Iowa – Sulphur rail, to replace 46 km of rail, USD 6 million fot rhe rail line between Dequincy and Kinder to replace 44,140 rail ties and install 22,144 tons of rock ballast, and USD 6 million for Lawtell – Livonia line to replace 42,525 rail ties.
