Stadler expands engineering team with new Poznań office

Stadler continues to strengthen its presence in Poland by expanding its local engineering division. The latest development includes the official opening of a new office in Poznań, part of the company’s strategic growth since entering the Polish market in 2006. By the end of 2025, the engineering team in Poland is expected to reach 100 employees, growing to 125 by 2026.

The new Poznań office, located in the Pixel 5 business complex on Grunwaldzka Street, offers modern, comfortable workspaces for Stadler’s engineers. Together with the existing engineering teams in Siedlce and Warsaw, the Poznań team forms a robust design and project support base for orders both within Poland and internationally.

Strengthening Poland’s engineering capabilities with new Poznań office

Stadler Polska’s Engineering Division supports the full rail vehicle development cycle—from bid preparation and design to systems integration, testing, certification, and post-delivery service.

“The development of our engineering capacity is a key element of our strategy in Poland,” said Radosław Banach, CEO of Stadler Polska. “We’re creating new engineering roles and building local expertise to better meet customer needs. Thanks to this development, we’re now fully capable of delivering local projects independently. A good example is our contract with Koleje Mazowieckie, where our Polish team is responsible for the entire process—from engineering to production—of the FLIRT vehicles.”

Recruitment and skills development

The Engineering Division currently employs 85 people, with plans to reach 100 by the end of 2025 and 125 in 2026. The company is actively recruiting specialists including designers, systems engineers, software developers, and safety experts, and is encouraging technical students to apply for internships.

“We’re seeing dynamic growth in our engineering team and continue to seek talented individuals,” said Szymon Landowski, Head of Engineering at Stadler Polska. “Our engineers are involved in both software development and the complete vehicle design process, supporting Polish and international Stadler projects. This international collaboration allows our teams to gain valuable experience and technical expertise in innovative rail vehicle design.”

Stadler is also focusing on environmentally friendly solutions, including emission-free propulsion systems. “We are proud to be working on projects that aim to create efficient, reliable, and sustainable vehicles that offer a high level of passenger comfort,” added Landowski.

Stadler’s operations in Poland

Stadler employs around 1,800 people in Poland, including more than 1,300 at the Siedlce plant, 250 in Środa Wielkopolska, over 100 at the Stadler Converter facility in Białystok, and service teams in Warsaw, Łódź, and Sochaczew. The Siedlce site produces trains, trams, and metro cars; the Środa site manufactures steel car bodies; and the Białystok facility produces AC converters for trams and metro vehicles. Stadler Service Polska maintains vehicles for operators including PKP Intercity, Koleje Mazowieckie, and Łódzka Kolej Aglomeracyjna.

Stadler continues to grow its presence in Poland by expanding production capacity, creating high-quality jobs, and diversifying its portfolio. Nearly 1,000 rail vehicles produced in Siedlce have already been delivered to customers across Poland and Europe.
