WESTbahn opens ticket sales for the 2026 timetable

WESTbahn has opened ticket bookings for journeys from 14 December 2025, allowing customers to secure travel up to six months in advance. The move is aimed at providing greater planning security for passengers, particularly during peak periods such as the Christmas holidays and winter breaks.

All tickets include a free seat reservation through the WESTfixplatz system, which can be booked online up to three hours before departure. Holders of the Klimaticket Ö benefit from an automatic reservation.

Expanding services and routes

WESTbahn recently expanded its services by around 20%, offering the most comprehensive timetable in its history. Tickets can now be booked for journeys across the network from Vienna Westbahnhof to Innsbruck, Bregenz, Lindau am Bodensee, St. Johann im Pongau, Munich and Stuttgart.

Attractive advance fares are available through the WESTsuperpreis, including:

  • Vienna – Salzburg from EUR 13.99
  • Salzburg – Stuttgart from EUR 16.99
  • Vienna – Innsbruck from EUR 18.99
  • Vienna – Bregenz from EUR 23.99
  • Vienna – Munich from EUR 23.99
  • Vienna – Stuttgart from EUR 28.99

WESTbahn continues to offer high levels of flexibility. Reservations can be changed free of charge up to three hours before departure, while tickets (excluding WESTsuperpreis) can be cancelled without cost until one day before travel.

Holders of a Klimaticket Ö also benefit from discounts for cross-border travel, with fares set at EUR 19.90 to/from Munich, EUR 39.90 to/from Stuttgart, and free travel to Lindau.

New south route services from March 2026

The 2026 timetable will also mark WESTbahn’s first operations on Austria’s southern route. From March 2026, five daily services will connect Vienna with Graz, Klagenfurt and Villach.

Ticketing details for these services will be announced ahead of the launch.
