Vossloh to supply fastening systems for high-speed rail in China

Vossloh Fastening Systems China, the subsidiary of Vossloh’s Core Components division based in Kunshan, won a EUR 30 million contract for the supply of rail fastening systems in China. The fastening systems will be installed on a sub-section of the route currently under construction from Zhengzhou, in eastern China, to Wanzhou, a district of Chongquing, located southwest of Zhengzhou. Deliveries for the so called “Zheng Wan Chongqing section” project are primarily scheduled for 2019.
Vossloh says that the contract is underscoring the continued strong market position of Vossloh with rail fastening systems in the high-speed segment in the focus market China.
In 2016, Vossloh won another contract for high-speed fastening systems in China with a value of EUR 50 million for Qingdao City – Ji Nan City section, as part of the 700-km Qingdao – Taiyuan high-speed rail line.
Through its Chinese subsidiary, Vossloh provides fastening systems for high-speed rails in China. Since the end of 2017, more than 23,000 kilometers of track for high-speed trains have been in operation. Additional high-speed projects are under construction and should expand the rail network to 38,000 kilometers by 2025.
