Visegrád Group countries propose a HSR connection

Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia, as part of Visegrád Group countries (V4), jointly decided to establish Budapest-Bratislava-Brno-Warsaw high-speed railway link.
“The establishment of the Budapest-Bratislava-Brno-Warsaw high-speed railway link is the joint political will of the Visegrád Group (V4)”, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Péter Szijjártó, said following a meeting of V4.
According to the authorities, the public procurement tender for the feasibility study preparation will be published within next weeks, and in November, quadrilateral working group will be convened. It will take around six months for the public procurement procedure relating to the feasibility study to be completed, following which further planning will take about a year and a half.
