UZ Cargo Poland is strengthening its role in the development of new logistics flows between Asia and Europe by participating on April 23–24 in a meeting of the working group dedicated to the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor (TITR), also known as the Middle Corridor.
The company’s participation confirms its active involvement in shaping more efficient transport routes between the two continents, at a time when global logistics chains are seeking fast and flexible alternatives to traditional routes.
UZ Cargo Poland operates as a full-service transport provider, offering solutions for the transport of railcars and containers between Ukraine and European Union member states. The company is integrated into an extensive network connecting major Black Sea ports—such as Odessa, Chernomorsk, Poti, Batumi, Constanța, and Istanbul—with major European logistics hubs, including Sławków, Budapest, Prague, and Duisburg.
As part of the Middle Corridor initiative, the company already offers operational logistics solutions. One example is the container transport service from ports in Georgia to Ukraine, with a transit time of approximately 48 hours, facilitating rapid integration into European supply chains.
At an industry conference held in Kazakhstan, UZ Cargo Poland presented two main logistics models: These solutions offer flexibility on routes, reduce transit times, and improve the competitiveness of logistics services. UZ Cargo Poland continues to expand its operations within the Middle Corridor, strengthening its position in international rail transport between Asia and Europe.
- transit through Ukraine – connecting ports in Georgia and Turkiye with the European Union, in cooperation with CTS Liski (a Ukrainian logistics and rail transport company specializing in freight transport and container handling);
- European service – transport via the Port of Constanța, using European gauge tracks.
UZ Cargo Poland – three years of operation
In June 2023, Ukrainian Railways (Ukrzaliznytsia) registered the company UZ Cargo Poland in Warsaw, marking an important step in the integration of Ukraine’s rail freight transport into the European space, with the goal of becoming a full-service logistics operator active throughout the European Union. The new company was established to provide integrated freight transport services, coordinate operations with European operators, shippers, and border crossing points, and manage rolling stock on both 1,435 mm and 1,520 mm gauge networks.
