UWC delivers tank cars to a Russian chemical company

UWC has already shipped the first tank cars to Shchekinoazot, a Russian chemical company, under an agreement for 295 units. The producer will deliver all wagons by the end of this month. They are used for liquid bulk chemical cargos transport.
TikhvinChemMash, part of UWC, will ship 176 model 15-6880 tank cars for transport of methanol and 119 model 15-6926 tank cars for transport of ammonia to Azot SPA TD. Both models offer additional economic gains by increasing operating margin and reducing transportation costs per tonne of cargo, as well as by providing maintenance savings.
The rolling stock will be used to transport finished products.
Cooperation between the two companies started in 2013, when UWC supplied 80 hopper cars for transport of mineral fertilizers with increased payload capacity to Azot SPA TD, under a long-term lease contract. The cars ensured transport at minimum cost while maintaining cargo quality.
The tank cars for transport of methanol and methanol derivatives have type 1-T dimensions, increased payload capacity of 73 tonnes and 25 tf axle load bogies.
Azot SPA TD transports more than 1 million tonnes of cargo each year.
