Transmashholding increases sales in 2016

According to the 2016 results, Transmashholding (TMH) has increased its sales proceeds by 22% to Rub. 120 billion (1.98 billion euros).
The largest increase (+49%) was recorded in the sale of EMUs, from 174 to 259 units. Sales of double-deck coaches went up by 23% (from 70 to 86 units), while the sales of single-deck compartment coaches and open-plan carriages grew by 317% (from 35 to 146 units). TMH sold 15% more metro cars (from 235 to 271 units).
Positive dynamics have been recorded in the business with freight diesel locomotives – a surplus of 48% (202 sections of 2TE25KM locomotives in 2016 vs. 136 sections in 2015). In total, sales of mainline diesel and electric locomotives have increased by 6% (from 267 to 283 locomotive sections).
During 2016, TMH introduced various prototypes of innovative railway vehicles: the new-generation metro train ‘Moskva’ (Moscow), the freight mainline diesel locomotive TEM28, the new version of the NPM2M industrial electric locomotive as well as a trolley-electric locomotive with batteries for metro system maintenance.
