Transfesa Logistics becomes DB Cargo Iberia

Transfesa Logistics has officially changed its name to DB Cargo Iberia, a move through which DB Cargo is consolidating its presence in the Spanish market and strengthening its position in the international rail logistics sector.

According to the company, the name change follows the recent reorganization of the Transfesa group and more clearly reflects its focus on international rail transport, integrated logistics, and cross-border solutions for the Iberian Peninsula.

Full integration into the DB Cargo brand

With this change, DB Cargo Iberia is fully integrated under the commercial identity of Europe’s largest rail freight operator, the company says.

The group notes that the new positioning should provide a new impetus for the development of international freight corridors between Spain and the main European rail axes.

Three strategic directions

Under the new structure, the company will increasingly focus on three areas considered strategic: As part of the DB Cargo group, the new DB Cargo Iberia is expected to play an important role in the development of intermodal freight transport.

  • international rail freight transport,
  • automotive logistics,
  • and integrated transport solutions, supported by a strong European network.

According to DB Cargo, these segments are among the main growth areas and are based on experience accumulated over many years.
