St. Petersburg Governor Georgy Poltavchenko and RZD President Vladimir Yakunin will request President Vladimir Putin to provide funding for the airport shuttle project in St. Petersburg. The value of the project is 14 billion roubles (188 million euros). The money will be invested in rebuilding the St. Petersburg – Baltysky – Shosseynaya rail link and building a new 5.4 km two-track route that will link the Shosseynaya Station with the Pulkovo Airport. The project also includes building a rail terminal at Pulkovo Airport, as well as rolling stock.
